Join our progressive, friendly, Intensive Care Unit at Waikato Hospital, New Zealand.

We are a 15 bedded level 3, multi specialty ICU, which admits over 1200 patients a year with a wide variety of conditions including medical and general surgery, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, trauma, burns, and paediatrics. Our ICU is based in a 700 bed hospital which is a tertiary referral centre in the midland region of New Zealand which serves a population of 800 000.

We can provide you with an interesting and varied ICU nursing career, where you will care for a wide variety of patients requiring complex therapies and state of the art equipment. There are also opportunities to extend your practice further by working on the ICU retrieval team, transporting critically ill patients around the region via road or air ambulance. We run postgraduate nursing papers (Acute Care & Postgraduate Certificate in Intensive Care Nursing) directly from the unit and support our nurses in further study leading to masters level qualification.

We can offer you a friendly and supportive environment with 8 or 12 hour shift options. To assist in your relocation to New Zealand we can offer accommodation for 10 days on arrival in NZ and transfers from the airport.
